In a close contest between former champion Darren Berry and first time finalist John Ellison, Darren finally overcame a strong challenge on the 17^th hole winning by 2 and 1. The members who watched the match were treated to some excellent golf by both players with John’s short game being quite exceptional at times.

 

In his Captaincy Year Callum Broadleday beat Sam Balderstone to become the 2009 Junior Champion. In a nip and tuck match Callum came from behind and eventually won the match 2/1 with a birdie on the tough 17th hole.
